"I work as a freelance project manager and am contracted to co-ordinate Arts All Over The Place - an
annual festival of the arts and mental health providing events and activities across Birmingham and Solihull.
I was asked to organise some festival events for mental health inpatients who were unable to attend activities
in the community - and The Stage Bus provided the perfect solution. I arranged for The Stage Bus to set up for
three days at different mental health residential centres across Birmingham, and one of these included a
high-security, acute forensic unit. Many people doubted we could make it happen due to the logistics of
attempting such an event and all the requirements we needed to fulfil. However, The Stage Bus team made the
events run like clockwork. They were on site early and undertook their set up both with speed and the
necessary diligence. The team were fully responsive and flexible in their approach to working with the
Arts All Over The Place team, the venue, the staff and the service users - including staying on past the
official closing time to provide entertainment due to clearance issues earlier in the day, and also hosting
an impromptu karaoke session in response to service users asking if they could perform on stage themselves.
The break-down each day was undertaken with just as much diligence, and the The Stage Bus team were most
accommodating in letting us store our own equipment within their vehicles so that we could keep it on site.
Each evening the team drove The Stage Bus to the next venue in our three-day booking so that the bus was already
on site - which gave us additional piece of mind. As well as all of this, The Stage Bus team were exceptionally
nice people to work with. Coupled with the great value provided by the extensive kit that you get, The
Stage Bus was not only a cost-effective solution to managing our event, but they turned what so easily could have
