Whilst The Stage Bus is a new venture, I have been organsing and running sound, lighting, video and generally
anything technical for many different events for many years. These are some specific larger events.
Arts all over the place 09
We provided the stage for a community arts mental health project, visiting various hospitals in Birmingham.
Once again we have provided the main stage for this lovely local community festival, with a great range of acts and activities going on.
BCU Freshers
We returned once again to Birmingham City University to help a 2008 intake to start their Uni life in style.

Cancer Research Relay for Life 2008, Munrow Sports Centre
As part of a national fund and awareness raising campaign, Cancer Research UK ran a 24 hour relay at the Munrow Sports Centre in Birmingham. The Stage Bus provided a platform for bands, speeches, films and other entertainment throughout the day and night, encouraging the relayers through to the end!
This bi-annual anti-war event is held in Birmingham, and is very well attended. Usually a multi-day festival consisting of numerous stages, a huge range of music styles are exhibited, from Drum & Bass to Techno to Indie to Hard House. The Bus has attended twice - in 2007 as The Speakers Corner Stage at the Custard Factory, and in 2008 as the main stage, under the railway arches in Adderly Street. Normally running through the night (until 6am), these events are tiring, but good fun, and allow us to make full use of our lighting rig!
The Stage Bus provided a second stage with late night jamming sessions for this friendly little two day festival in 2007. In this same year Blissfields won 'Best Small Festival' in the UK Festival Awards. This was the first event our crew got to properly try out the living quarters above the bus, which proved to be very comfortable!
Greenbelt is a Christian arts and music festival held at Cheltenham Racecourse in Gloucestershire. The 2007 festival attracted around 19,000 people and The Stage Bus was positioned prominently next to the skate park, hosting DJs and bands throughout each of the four days the festival ran.
Vale Festival is an annual festival for 5000 people held on The Vale, University of Birmingham since 2005. Believed to be the largest purely student run event of it's type, the event has grown considerably and now consists of 5 stages, workshop areas and many individual awareness stalls. For the last four years The Stage Bus has provided just about everything electrical except for the main stage, from tech for the four tented stages right down to festoon lights and the backstage beer fridge!
We have worked closely with this hard dance night providing additional sound, lighting and video in a range of venues (including Birmingham's Q Club, the Rainbow Warehouse and The Custard Factory), to many compliments.
The Stage Bus pulled up outside the Bullring in Birmingham to entertain shoppers and festival goers alike with an afternoon of world music as part of Gigbeth 2007. An excellent time had by all, and we hope to be back again next year!
The Stage Bus team took over the Custard Factory in Birmingham to provide sound, lighting, and video across two stages for the end of year Envision awards ceremony. Originally booked as a Bus event in the city centre, plans were changed at the last minute due to the venue being double booked. However, the end result was still a success, and a good time had by all.
We finished the 2007 Fresher's celebrations in style at BCU with the bus providing an outdoor stage for a chiled out day with some great music, and a great day was had by all. We returned again to BCU for their "City Rocks" festival in 2008
