Who We Are

The stage bus is a double decker bus which has been converted in to a mobile stage for out door events, festivals and generally anything that needs an outdoor stage for up to 3000 people.


What We Do

Well, first and foremost there's the bus. It is based in Birmingham, UK, but is available for all manner of outdoor events up and down the country.

But don't worry if its not an outdoor festival you are doing, we can cater for everything from band nights to club lighting, sound, balls, corporate events and many others.


What's so great about The Stage Bus?

The main big thing about The Stage Bus over other outdoor stages is that it's a bus! Why have a generic run-of-the-mill stage like you see at every other festival or event when you can have your event fixed in people's memories as "the one with a bus".

One large advantage of The Stage Bus is the very short length of time and quantities of crew needed to set it up and take it down. Most stages will need many hours and a large crew to get in, often the day before the event, and then the same again to get out. The stage bus can be set up from driving on site to ready for acts to start in less than 2 hours with just 2 crew, and then the same again to take it down. Not only does this mean you don't need the site of your event for as long but also keeps cost down.

Due to this, and a very efficient design this give The Stage Bus very completive pricing rates.

Though we would love you to book us a long time in advance (there are advanced booking reductions), something else The Stage Bus can do which very few other people can is last minute call out. For instance if you have everything booked months in advanced of your event, but when it comes to the day your stage, sound or lighting provider lets you down, with just 4 hours notice (plus traveling time) of when your gates actually open we can be there and do it (provided we aren't already doing something else).

The Stage Bus Itself

Whilst you might be thinking a bus is a little small for a stage, this bus packs quite a punch. The stage spreads over the ground floor of a classic MCW Metrobus mk2 and a 16x8 foot thrust extension. This stage space is extremely efficiently used with space saving features installed all round. We have had 10+ piece bands playing on the stage with no problems.

Don't think about comparing the stage bus with other similar area sized stages though, it truly has an ability to frame whatever is on stage and the event in general but where it really punches is in the amount of sound and lights that are fitted into the bus. The Stage Bus is designed for an audience of up to around 3000 people.

The front-of-house PA system consists of four Renkus-Heinz C2 full-range cabinets, providing excellent quality sound that can go very loud! These can be supplemented with extra subs if required. On stage, there can be a full 4-way stage operated monitors (if required) all with naturally the highest quality equipment, microphones and staff.

If lights are more your thing then have no fear, there are plenty of them too! The main stage wash and backlight is provided by 8 Showtec Trackpod 90s. These are 8-cell LED lights. We also use some fresnels for front light and LED cans for rear stage wash. We also use some fresnels for front light and LED cans for rear stage wash. We have 6 Robe Spot 250XT moving heads, plus strobes, blinders and other effect lighting. All of the lighting is operated live for an original, professional and spectacular light show.
